The land where I was born. What can I say about it ?. Or should I say , about her?. "It" doesn't sound right for something that important.
It tastes bittersweet whenever I mention it. I spent there 27 years, with very happy moments and some not that great. There are my parents, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, and were my grandparents. I became an engineer and made friends that I keep until today, and many other things.
There are still places on the Island that I have never been to. I went to Pinar del Rio, when i was a little baby. I lived in Havana City (he Capital) all my life, and visited La Habana, Matanzas, (most of all Varadero). I spent a week on Cienfuegos once, and made a trip by car, work for my father and leisure for me, that went all the way to Camaguey.
There are a lot of places that I need to go. Santiago de Cuba, Isla de la Juventud, Holguin. Probably , the person on my family who knows Cuba better, is my father, because he has had to travel all along it because of his work.
